Swingtown premiers on Thursday, June 5th from 10-11pm. CBS Lines Up Summer Schedule I noticed that "Without a Trace" has moved to the Tuesday 10 pm slot (Jericho's old spot). Is CBS putting one of their favorite performing series in the slot, since a new series would be compared to Jericho's performance? Opinions welcome. Gwen

'Swingtown' could open eyes to CBS A cross between "The Ice Storm," "Dazed and Confused," "Boogie Nights" and "The Wonder Years" is how series creator-exec producer [script removed]Mike Kelley describes "Swingtown," from CBS Paramount, bowing on the Eye June 5. Set in 1976 during the celebration of the American Bicentennial, the series focuses on shifting sexual mores in a post-Nixonian era, a period where key parties, spouse swapping and other libertine liaisons reflect, per Kelley, the "freedom and choices and options and hope" of a group of close-knit neighbors in an upscale, Waspy Chicago suburb. Swingtown review and trailer A review in today's New York Post calls CBS' 1970s-based drama "Swingtown" about wife-swapping couples living in the suburbs of Chicago possibly "the sleaziest hour of television ever produced." Coming from such a hideous publication, I'd find that comment a compliment. Although I would feel much more comfortable if this highly entertaining series was airing on ABC or NBC, I still hope CBS will give "Swingtown" the necessary marketing support and help it build its audience despite all protest that I'm sure will follow once conservative watchdogs take a look at the pilot.

I saw a preview of "Swingtown" the other day, and I doubt I will be tuning in. It really just didn't appeal. Sorry Carol!

I may be alone in my viewpoint, but I liked Swingtown. I looked at it like an historical novel, which I love. The 70's were not the only era in history that had a greater openess in sex and relationships - look at the roaring 20's, Tudor England, the late Roman empire, etc. I think CBS has a great marketing opportunity for Last.fm with the 70's music. And for those who don't like Swingtown, neither did the AFA (American Family Association). File a complaint against your local CBS station Last night, your local CBS station violated its license obligation to "serve the public interest" by airing one of the most offensive programs ever on broadcast television.
