Please feel free to remove this once you see what happened when I tried to add an emoticon from Smiley Central. I'm able to do this on other boards, but this is how it came out here. Any chance of making this a possibility?

If you use the link button in the editor you get a link like the following:

smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/8/8_1_229.gif

If you use the picture button (after the anchor button) and put in the URL then you can link to images stored on other sites. One way to see if you have the image link correct before pasting it into the insert/image link box, is to paste the URL into your web browser to see if you can see the image there. Be sure to remove things like quotes around the URL.

The above was copied from smiley central (using their copy html link) and pasted in the quick reply window. Worked well.

The copy and paste only works when the code is surrounded by DIV (division tags).

If the code isn't surrounded by div tags you'll need to find the source code for the image and copy that into the Insert/Edit Image box.

For instance:

http://plugin.smileycentral.com/http%253A%252F%252Fwww.smileycentral.com%252F%253Fpartner%253DZSzeb008%255FZSzim055YYUS%2526i%253D8%252F8%255F1%255F233%2526feat%253Dprof/page.html" target="_blank">http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/8/8_1_233.gif" alt="SmileyCentral.com" border="0">http://plugin.smileycentral.com/http%253A%252F%252Fimgfarm%252Ecom%252Fimages%252Fnocache%252Ftr%252Ffw%252Fsmiley%252Fsocial%252Egif%253Fi%253D8%252F8_1_233/image.gif">>

There are two src= tags, the one you want is the one which doesn't start with http://plugin, but starts with http://smileys.

http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/8/8_1_233.gif

Then paste that into the Insert/Edit Image box and you'll get:

The short answer is that sometimes the code for their animations is set up one way and sometimes another.

Hello. My experience with Smiley Central has been negative.  I do attribute  it to my own ignorance of how to use it.  One day I was sent the "click it" for smiley central.  I clicked & It began to download onto my machine  -- a bunch of smiley guys/gals/animals, etc.  Unfamiliar with it, I did some research.  Found out that downloading from smiley central can cause security problems & glitch computer.   Perhaps what I found out is not correct, but that is what I read.  Being weak in the area of such things, I can only rely on those with more expertise.  So I will use these guys:  haha.
