Alphawolf posted this in Misc., but I wanted to cross post it here too:

Sarah Palin, the recently appointed VP of McCain, is the Governor of Alaska.

She has allowed the aerial gunning of wolves and a practice called "denning" whereby a family of wolves in a den is stalked, watched, and when the adults come out, they are shot.  The little pups are then shot in the head by the Wildlife service.

Please educate yourself.  Look at this video.   Be informed.  Thank you.

I watch the video and it made me sick.

In California, it's illegal to blind a deer at night and then shoot them. It should be illegial to shoot a wolf from a plane.

Jerichomonster, I saw your blog, and I thank you greatly for the superb job.   Gwen, I thank you for posting this in a good spot.  Too many people are not aware of what is happening to these wolves and other wildlife in Alaska.  There is no excuse to chase a wolf in the snow with an airplane and then shoot it limb by limb several times.  If we don't inform people, this will spread to other states.  There are better ways to control wildlife without illegally "denning" them and shooting pups in the head.  There are better ways to increase caribou herds without slaughtering wolves.  Sarah Palin may be pro-life, but she certainly does not appear to respect all life.  The video says it all.

Here is another link to Care2 regarding the "Wolf Safaris" in Alaska. This is an important read for all of us who did not know what is goiing on. Alaska is one big slaughterhouse.

Well, hopefully viewers will read this thread, click the links, see the truth and become informed. Even post. I've received many responses from people (friends & family not online) who want to play politics and totally ignore the issue of cruelty to animals by aerial hunting.

Unfortunately, it has taken a toll on me and I won't be posting for awhile.

I pray that whomever reads this thread or sees the videos will contact their congressman or woman to sign the P.A.W. proposal that will stop aerial gunning. I pray that the one candle I lit here for these animals will light other candles so we can all see through the dark. Thank you, and boycott Alaska travel, it is another way to stop this.

From what everyone in this thread has been saying, I don't think I can watch the video. I am not a fan of hunting to begin with, but this is outrageous! I will never understand why some people must have such an unfair advantage over these poor animals. It's just outright cruel and totally unnecessary.
