"With the Writers Guild of America strike in it's sixth week, the fans have launched a new campaign. This time, they're supporting the writers themselves, and sending a message to the studio and network heads in the way of thousands of pencils. Half a million pencils, to be exact. The idea is that the fans bought the pencils and the showrunners would then deliver them to the moguls on the other side of the negotiating table. The showrunners on hand today included Joss Whedon (Buffy/AngelFirefly and the upcoming Dollhouse), Ron Moore (Battlestar Galactica), Carol Barbee (Jericho) and others."

In the below video, Joss Whedon (right) and Ron Moore dump pencils
sent by fans into the cart they will bring to NBC.

I recognize the other people with her from Jericho too but can't put the names to the faces in order.
