Hi Jane,

Great job of getting this information out.

My dog Loki, came from a shelter. She was a stray dog that had been turned in. She was there for two weeks and no one wanted her, since she was a bundle of energy. No waiting list, so I just walked out with her. I've never regretted adopting her.

You might want to add this group to your list: http://www.bestfriends.org/

What I like about this group is that they take in all animals and they've created such a large facility,  that they allow individuals and groups to volunteer. They've made it a rescue and a learning facility.

Hi Jane,

Loved your blogs on Boo.  All three of my cats are rescue animals - I adopted two from the local humane society and the third from another local rescue organization.

The company I work for has a Community Service Campaign every fall, and we can donate to any legitimate charitable organization through payroll deduction.  I have always been an animal lover, so almost all my donations go to animal charities.  I wish I could win the lottery so I could help out even more

Thanks Selini. I'd like to win the lottery too so I could have a place for pets where they'd be safe. They could live there forever if they needed to. No fear/no kill shelter.

Jane's blog and personal story about Boo touched all of our hearts.   Jane, I hope you are back with Boo soon, but know that Boo is in good hands.   There are good people out there willing to help and thank God for them.  We all need a little help from our friends and for our friends once in awhile.  Our pets are our children in many ways.

Thanks wolfie. You're very kind. Yes, there are good people out here. Totally unselfish ones that I'm proud to know.

I wish everybody felt about pets the way we do.
