First of all, greatest respect to the writers on creating excellent characters and plot lines. But watching the show (and i've not seen all of it yet)a couple of missed chances of good storylines - 1)Small towns often have a close faith community and at times of crisis turn to their church for support, so what happened to the minister? He (or she) could have been a great character. 2)Goetz the ravenwood leader (D B Sweeney) could have had a history with Jake, formerly worked together or he could be the one who was tracking Jake and killed freddy.

I believe that there was a one point meant to be a minister. Either Emily’s or Heather’s father if I recall correctly. I think I am a bit underwhelmed by some of the women in town. Perhaps, I am a bit spoiled by old westerns. There are a few women stepping up to the plate, but too few in my opinion. I think that’s why I miss Gracie and would like to see a couple of older women just doing what they think is right and the hell with everyone else. More storylines like the one with Gail Green and the refugees. I guess what I envision is a bit more of a posse for Gail Green, a few church going women, the widows of city servants who were mostly forgotten, but now aren’t content to see their little town fall apart.

I’m not really thinking of a rewrite of the show, just the occasional side character with a few lines or the occasional interpersonal conflict which needs working out.
