Does the fire chief return or is he still missing, he was good in the pilot, but the last time we hear about him he's heading to Denver (federal responce)

I don’t remember if they comment on him, but there’s a whole slew of pilot folks who just are never seen again. The two kids and the dog (Bailey) for instance.

Yes, there are people & animals that disappear and are never reinstated into the story.    I liked Beau, the dog.  Most families would miss their dog, but the Greens never mentioned him or mourned the loss..... hmmm.
