Hi guys,

So after watching Jericho last night, one question that I had was answered.  I always wondered what our response was (remember the missles being launched early in season 1) to the attacks.  We finally got that answer last night.

I had to go back and rewind it a few times (Thank God for Tivo) to catch it but I finally did.  After, Hawkins friend tells him
"They wiped 2 countries off the face of the map to aid the coverup" I figured that was NK and Iran but wasn't sure.  I went back to the news cast they are watching in the hospital and if you listen closely you can hear at the very end the news reporter say

President Tomichi (Sp?) ordered a massive retaliatory strike on America's enemies...........and it fades out.  This is right after they say with evidence mounting that Iran and North Korea were behind the attacks.  This is later confirmed by the conversation Hawkins has with his friend who says 2 countries were wiped off the face of the planet.

So after a long wait seems one question that at least I have had for awhile has been answered.  In response to the attacks we seem to have annihilated both Iran and North Korea.  This opens up many intresting plot lines such as what was the world's reaction to our retaliation, how was it carried out, etc etc.

Hi Vicc1818,

Welcome to Jericho Kansas!

Yes, missiles struck North Korea and Iran.

Carol Barbee told  a group of foreign journalists that the US launched some strikes of their own and was asked if there was any more countries could be included. It seems there is great international interest in being a part of the Jericho world.

Link to the Telegraph listing of the article. Click on the title to go to the original article.

Do you think this retaliatory strike is part of the cover-up or was it an instinctive reaction to strike back and those were the likely targets?

Since you have TiVo, you might want to know that CBS has purchased the data from TiVo's playbacks. If you play the episode back without skipping the commercials in the next two days, you may be counted in those numbers (the TiVo sample is blind, so we don't know which boxes are counted). I've got the episode playing in the other room, just in case my box is in the sample.

Chavez and Hawkins seem to be of the understanding that the bombing of North Korea and Iran are part of the coverup.

Then the question about UN/Nato forces comes into play and also how much of their power did they use to do it??

I agree as they've made it a point to say that Tomarchio stepped in due to others 'failing to act'.

As a side note there is a Jack Tomarchio associated with Homeland Security. Which still sounds like a Nazis organization to me.

This article makes him look like a character you'd find in a conspiracy novel.
