I would love to see us set up some way to work with the group that is doing projects for our troops. Truly a noble endeavor and with the theme of Jericho and appropriate one as well. I had also considered that we do something with the Nuts forum concerning Greensburg Kansas, but to be honest, I am a bit perplexed as to why the current donations have not been sent yet. Surely the money is needed now and it has been sitting at the site for some time now. Please, if I am wrong about this feel free to correct me. I am by no means trying to make any accusations, just a bit curious as to the plans there before we consider becoming involved.

Susan, When you said the money is "sitting at the site" I presume you mean the total money raised on the Nuts website. Even if the money had been already sent to Greensburg, the total raised might reflect money already sent. Gwen

I'm not sure. I've never spent any time there. I was emailed by someone who was concerned that the money had not been sent, but I have no way of knowng. You may well be right Gwen, but I would think that if they have sent the money they would reflect it like they did with the nuts. Stating that x amount was sent on this day and received by x organization. I have no reason to think that they are not sending the money. Jeff has been above board all around, just wondering what their time frames are. It would be great if someone could, discretely so as not to start another uneccesary attack mode on any board, ask if the money has been sent. And if not what the time frame of the donation drive is to be. Of course this would only be necessary if we were to try to join with them in the endeavor. And please keep in mind that these are just thoughts on some charitable involvements for JKI. Nothing here is meant to be written in stone.

Hi Susan, It is very common for a fundraiser drive to post the total raised, any or all of that might have already been transfered to the charity. It could also be staying in an account and earning interest until the end of the year. It is not common practice to post we raised $1000 for charity x and sent them the check on date y. That isn't a common public report you would see. Gwen
