So what’s the deal with this website?
One of our aims of this website is help both the fan community and other organizations. One way we help is by providing space for groups who may not have the resources or inclination to maintain their own sites. The site is specifically designed so that areas of the site can be assigned to individuals or groups. If your group would like an area, please contact the webmaster.
Along with our forums and the site itself, our first custom tool is the Jericho Telegraph, a searchable news and announcement platform. Our next tool is expected to be a chat room and meeting area.
From the start we had wanted to have an announcement system in which anyone could add contributions. It was after reading this blog entry on the Cultural Learnings blog (here) that we realized that while asking everyone to use one blog system had huge hurdles (even if one considered it desirable) that a central repository could be a great tool.
Other groups which use or have used this site: Save Jericho Campaign, Jericho Times, Speculative Fiction Refugees, and Jericho-Kansas Inc.
