So what’s the deal with this website?

This website has several aims.

One of course is the public portal for Jericho Kansas, Inc., a non-profit corporation. JKI was formed to be one arm in the octopus-like creation which is the Jericho fan community.

One of our aims is to provide tools to help both the fan community and individual fan organizations. Our first tool is the Jericho Telegraph, a searchable news and announcement platform.

From the start we had wanted to have an announcement system in which anyone could add contributions. It was after reading this blog entry on the Cultural Learnings blog (here) that we realized that while asking everyone to use one blog system had huge hurdles (even if one considered it desirable) that a central repository could be a great tool.

A handful of such tools could help the fan community keep its great diversity while allowing fans to be aware of other fan’s efforts.
