Out of the Blue (Ashley Scott)

Interview Jack Yan.

Source: Lucire.

SOME YEARS AGO, Ashley McCall Scott was cast in the role of the Huntress, the result of a liaison between Batman and Catwoman in the short-lived series Birds of Prey—probably the first time New Zealanders had seen her on the screen. These days Scott can be seen in Jericho, on TV3.

She has that sort of beauty that makes you look twice, and a sense that we are merely in the prelude of her career before her name really hits the headlines.

Marketing Jericho: Season Two

Article by Rich Becker.

Source: Copywrite Ink.

As rumors continue to surface (and they are only rumors) that Jericho might score its miraculous second season, the first step for CBS would be to fix the show's marketing message.

If anything kept potential viewers at bay, it was one simple oversight: CBS never redefined the show from how it started to what it became

Save Jericho: You Can't Control The Monster

Article by BoonDoggie.

Source: Find the Boots.

As any good manager can tell you, the key to any successful enterprise is process, methodology, and execution. One of the reasons I find the "Save Jericho" movement so interesting is that they're writing new rules for all three elements.

Process - what to do. Every business has processes. They may not document them or implement them consistently, but like it or not, you have processes. Effective businesses manage their processes carefully.

Methodology - how to do it. It's one thing to keep track of your processes, and quite another to understand how you do things. Again, effective businesses manage this quite closely in order to provide repeatable and consistent results.

Execution - doing it. Weak managers skip right to this step. They just flail about trying to make things happen. Without process and methodology, execution is just a shot in the dark.

"Jericho" Fans Go Nuts

Article by CBS News' Michele Filgate.

Source: Showbuzz.

Jeff Braverman has seen a lot of nuts in his life, but that doesn't stop nutty behavior from surprising and even inspiring him.

Last week, Braverman's family-owned business, NutsOnline, started receiving a lot of attention from fans of "Jericho" after CBS announced its fall lineup — and the drama wasn't on it. "Jericho" is set in a small town in Kansas that's struggling to deal with the aftershocks of witnessing a nuclear attack. CBS executives are now the targets of a different kind of "attack" from the show's loyal viewers.

'Jericho' Fans Call Down Plague Of Peanuts Upon CBS Tormentors

Posted by staff.

Source: Defamer.

JFans hoping to revive a cancelled TV series have been relying on increasingly flashy techniques in the hopes of registering on the radars of busy network heads, whose various galactic overlord duties may have rendered them tragically out of touch with the tastes of the common man. Arrested Development addicts pelted Fox execs with foam banana balls. Invasion lovers (yes, they existed) drowned ABC in bottled water. But devotees of the mushroom-clouds-on-Main-St. drama Jericho have decided to go the bulk snack route, inviting fellow grassroots supporters to send roasted peanuts to CBS's offices.

The Hills are alive: A midweek trip to Hollywood

Article by Craig Stoehr.

Source: OnMilwaukee.com.

During this installment, Stoehr visits Waukesha native Brad Beyer, star of CBS' Jericho and was featured in a "Milwaukee Talks" interview last week.

That evening, Brad and I were joined by Erik Stuebe, Blue Marlin's CEO, who had just flown in from San Francisco. Over a few poolside mojitos, Erik and I learned from Brad that Jericho had been canceled by CBS earlier that very day. Brad was naturally disappointed, but told us that's the nature of show business -- a rollercoaster ride full of ups and downs. Given the circumstances, he was remarkably upbeat, making self-deprecating jokes and saying it was "onward and upward to bigger and better things."

Save Jericho Campaign

Posted by Larry Little.

Source: Simple Thoughts of a Complex Mind.

The campaign to save the TV show: Jericho is in full swing. After posting previously about its premature demise (why can reality TV take an early demise), I found that there is an active campaign to save my beloved show. Jericho, CBS drama series about life in a Kansas town after our nation has a nuclear attack, was a great show with fantastic writing and quirky characters. It deserves another season to get its legs under it where it has a decent time slot, not against American Idol.

"Jericho" Gets Nuked

Posted by Larry Little.

Source: Simple Thoughts of a Complex Mind.

Once again Network TV has taken a great show, treated it like a redheaded step child, and then canceled because of ratings. The second best new show of the season (only behind Heroes) did not survive. I am talking about the post nuclear world of Jericho. The tale of how the small town of Jericho, Kansas deals with life after several bombs goes off around the country.

Carol Barbee, Jon Steinberg and Saving Jericho

Posted by Amber.

Source: Watching Jericho.

To be honest, I felt like a complete fish out of water when I realized that I was talking with Carol Barbee, executive producer of the show, but also one of the creators and writers, Jon Steinberg. There were some great questions for them, and I’d like to say that I didn’t make a complete fool of myself. A popular commenter’s question here (Hi Grace!) was read by Shaun, even. While they were tight-lipped on spoilers for the Season Finale (You are watching it tonight, aren’t you?), they did give a really wonderful feel for how the show’s focus is going and where it will lead. I don’t know if it’s a good thing or a bad thing that Jon Steinberg went, “Oh, Amber from Watching Jericho, right?” when I first rang in to the show, though.
