And now for something completely different.
A little while back, I asked previous Jericho guest bloggers Jane and Beth to make a return engagement to blog on Casus Belli (which, by the by, is Latin for “Cause for War”). They accepted and then behind my back conspired to do something totally creative and different and fun for this week’s guest blog.
I had no idea back in June, when I asked for guest bloggers in a total experiment for this blog, that we’d get such well-written and creative entries.

Just posting this for Jericho fans, this isn't news by any means, but I thought you might like to know about this. Stephen King has column at Entertainment Weekly (what a waste of a place) where King writes about "pop dope", the stuff you've just got to have when it comes to culture. McDonalds, Harry Potter, etc. It's a great little read and there was this bit that caught my eye, because I know how fans of Jericho scour the net for any and all information related to the show. I thought it was cool, and I bet they will too.

Matthew in Traverse City, Michigan: I cannot believe Jericho fans actually succeeded in getting the show back. Is it really true, or is CBS just giving false hope?
Not at all, my friend. In fact, Jericho begins shooting its second season later this month! Mazel tov to the brave men and women who spearheaded that nutty campaign. Now for a little scoop: We're told the show welcomes a new character in the premiere: Col. Hoffman, a reliable and experienced military man, just might fill the void left by Mayor Johnston Green (Gerald McRaney). Apparently, he's a good family guy, known for being faithful to his wife (who has been missing since the attacks) and fair to the men in his command. He plays a key role this year.

He plays a hunky hero on CBS’s primetime hit “Jericho,” and between takes, Skeet Ulrich is quickly becoming a Hollywood heartthrob.

The "will they wrap the story at seven episodes or not" debate regarding Jericho's return is starting to give me a headache.

I found out during one of my interminable waits in the Charlotte airport that CBS has this site called Innertube, where you can view entire episodes of some of its shows for free. Included in that list of shows is the entire first series of Jericho, a drama that has become a cult favorite even though it was cancelled after its first series. I watched the first episode in the airport, and I was hooked.

It's Friday here on the set of Jericho. We've spent the last couple of days out at the ranch getting dusty. Glad to be back in the air conditioning.
Thank you to all the Rangers and fans who have posted comments and sent shouts through BlogCatalog. It's great to hear from all of you.
