6 TV Shows That Should Never Have Been Canceled

Posted by staff.

Source: Nothing Corporate.

Found by Rangerette.

It’s weird to think that a show can have millions of avid fans and still be seen as a loser to the TV execs. While things that make our eyes bleed like “What I Like About You” or that Dawson’s River show (river, stream, creek, whatever) seemed to run on forever, here’s our countdown of shows that should still be on the air today.

What's New with Jericho

Posted by Kystorms.

Source: Jericho Blog.

Well, as I see from the Boards, not much has been occurring on the Fan Based activity front or with CBS Paramount/ Junction. There is some open discussions about the Graphic Novels and how it went for the 4400 as compared to how it 'might' go for Jericho ( link for that thread - "Jericho and the 4400" ) I think that either way, we are so far out in the time line before we see anything concrete that we just have to step back and realize that these things do take alot of time to get in motion.

I first discovered Jericho back in 2006 when it was in it's first season. I fell in love instantly. What a great concept! What does a small do when a nuclear blast is seen over over Denver? The chat will take place Monday, September 22 at 10PM eastern.

If you don't get a password emailed to you, contact me a info @ savejerichoagain.com (without the spaces).

Netflix Picks Fridays: 'Cache,' 'Counterfeiters,' 'Sunny in Philadelphia' - What do you have?

Last week's picks:

"Jericho: Season 2" -- This fast-paced abbreviated season (thank you again to all those who saved "Jericho" so I didn't have to deal with it ending on a cliffhanger) was fun and, as some people who commented pointed out, very addicting. I don't think "Jericho" could go on indefinitely, but it would be nice to see maybe 2 1/2 seasons more. Wishful thinking.

Welcome to Web 2.0 IMDB, we've been expecting you

Article by Harrison Hoffman.

Source: CNet.

It would make sense that IMDB, the leading provider of movie and TV information on the internet, would offer video on its Web site. After all, IMDB is a huge point of discovery of new movies for a lot of people, so the instant gratification of streaming that new movie that you just found is a big draw. Previously, IMDB only offered videos in the form of clips and trailers. On Monday, IMDB took a step in the right direction and launched a selection of 6,000 full length films and TV episodes, available for streaming right now. All users have to do is click the big gold "Watch It" button as they are browsing through movie and TV pages. Most of the content available is coming from Hulu, with a smaller portion from CBS, Sony, and independent filmmakers.

Editor: Jericho episodes are now on IMDB.

They MUST Fail

Posted by owner.

Source: Blogax.

I’ve held my tongue for quite some time because I had to keep food on the table, and a roof over my head. But now that I’m no longer employed by Nielsen Media Research (nee The Nielsen Company) I can speak out. As you may have heard from Sweet Lou Dobbs a few months back, Nielsen has engaged in outsourcing to an Indian company by the name of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). This is true, but I’m not sure most people understand just what Nielsen and TCS are doing. And more importantly, why it must fail.
