Rubberpoultry, posted a message on the CBS forums today (in its entirety):
"Hi Rangers,
I just wanted to let you know that things are most definitely moving still. I got an email from Karim today stating that they have some important Jericho meetings coming up in the next two weeks. While he'd love to say more, he really can't elaborate, but I thought everyone would like to know that meetings are still taking place. I think that is very good thing.
Nothing earth shattering, but I thought knowing the wheels are in motion would be good for our morale. When I asked him if I could share, he said "I just hate to release that kind of info and not be able to provide more. But if you think it will help, definitely do so".
I hope it does help.
He also told me that they'd keep us posted as things develop.

There is an effort underway on the CBS boards to drum up funds to donate peanut butter to the Kansas Food Bank. The details are still being worked out, but the organizers of this campaign are trying to gauge how much peanut butter people want to donate. Prices for the vendor they are currently targeting (Hampton Farms in North Carolina) are $2.75 per 18 oz. jar, or $25.75 for a case of 12 jars. You can also buy peanut butter from you local grocery store if you prefer and send it directly to the food bank. If you would like to help out with this effort, please post on the CBS boards (link to thread below) how much peanut butter you'd be willing to pledge, whether it's just a jar or two, or more. You do not need to donate any money at this time.

Right now you see the trailer for this effort on the home page of www.jericho.com should this move off the front page you can see the trailer here: http://www.jerichotimes.com/
Look for more updates to this effort in the months to come.
Jericho Online is a turned based Jericho-themed game. A turn based game is where one can do several actions, but only a few per time period, giving each person to have their turn. You then wait until the next time period (usually a day) when you can enter your next set of commands. The easiest way to envision this is as a general issuing commands to their field troops with delays between new orders.
This is an impressive effort and even should it not be your own cup of tea you might take a few minutes to see what has been created. I am giving it a shot.
Junction is the company which created Jericho. Harper's Island is their new project. Look for it as a mid-season replacement on CBS during the next season.

Buying Season 2 of Jericho on DVD helps show the bean counters that there is indeed a market for Jericho.
