While we understand many of you may have moved onto other entertainment interests, we hope that our occasional newsletter updates are still welcome and not viewed as intrusive.

Jericho Not Dead? Movie announced.

We thought we’d give an update on the possible Jericho movie. Those who have been following the story may remember that in January Jon Turtletaub announced the possibility of a Jericho movie. At Wondercon this year, JK staff confirmed with the producers of Jericho that a Jericho movie project was indeed in the works. The story was later confirmed by SciFi wire.

You can see the video confirmation on our sister site’s homepage: www.savingjericho.com

While details have been few and far between, it is our understanding that the Jericho movie is still in the story planning stage. At this stage there is no finished script nor have actors been signed. Still, Junction Entertainment and Jon Turtletaub brought us the National Treasure movies and certainly have the ear of Major Studios.

The Jericho Graphic Novel.

Dear Jericho Rangers,

In October, Devil's Due Publishing will release the first of six issues of Jericho: Season 3 - Civil War.  This is a continuation of the story that began in Jericho and will pick up from the end of season 2.  The success of this comic book will help move the Jericho movie further down the development pipeline.  We realize that for some fans purchasing comic books may be something new or something you haven't done in years.  We are sending out this email to provide you the information you need to purchase the new comic book.

You can purchase the comic at your local comic shop. You can locate your local comic shop at www.comicshoplocator.com.  Some shops will even let you pre-order, or hold aside the comics for you.

If you don't have a local comic shop in your area, one of the best on-line mail order services is www.mycomicshop.com . It is run by Lone Star Comics, the largest comic retailer in Texas. While they don't have pre-order available, it will be available for order in the new releases section (www.mycomicshop.com/newreleases ) the week of each month the comic is published. This is also good option if you want to buy multiples of each issue - they do offer free shipping for order of $50 or more! They will also be stocking the comics as "back issues".

While DDP is planning on putting out a graphic novel of these first six issues in early 2010, it is important that we support the individual comic issues as the sales figures for these are what CBS Consumer Products (the licensing arm of CBS Television Studios) and DDP will be looking at. The Sales figures are also important for the graphic novel, but the ongoing individual comic issues are what count the most!  So, October to February, we need to buy and support each issue.

Also, Jericho Rangers for Our Troops (JR4OT) is providing Comic Relief for Our Troops.  This is an opportunity for you to provide the comic book through donations to our troops overseas.  Please visit www.comicsfortroops.com for details.

For those who might be interested in learning more about comics and a have a chance to meet up will other Jericho Rangers, we suggest you visit your local comic book convention. You can find conventions in your area by visiting http://www.conventionscene.com/schedules/comicbookconventions/

Please help support our effort to continue the Jericho story by making Jericho: Season 3 - Civil War a success.

Thank You,

Your Fellow Jericho Rangers

I preordered the first of the comics from https://www.tfaw.com, I can't wait to read them but I would rather have a real novel.
