Lee has secured the unbelievable low rate of $89 per night (Thursday - Sunday). This is a FANTASTIC rate as this hotel sometimes charges upwards of $299 per night
The hotel offers a complimentary shuttle from to and from the airport as well as to downtown Boston. In addition, it is a short walk to the subway and just down the street from the JFK library for all you history buffs. The hotel is 2.5 miles from Downtown Boston and is located on the ocean.
The weekend will include but is not limited to the following:
- Redsox -- Phillies game at Historic Fenway Park
- Duck Tour which travels across the City, including a cruise on the Charles River
- Historic Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall
- Shopping and Dining
- Freedom Trail
- Walking Tour in the Public Gardens, including a ride on the Swan Boats (made famous in Book Make Way for Ducklings)
- Visit to the USS Constitution, the oldest active commissioned warship in the US Navy
- Visits to The North End (Little Italy) and China Town
Airfares are still looking GREAT from the east coast and quite affordable from other areas too. It's going to be another EPIC event we hope many Rangers (from EVERYWHERE) can attend.
We had a great turn out in Baltimore last year and are hoping for even more this year. For further details you can e mail me at gumbyfan79@aol.com.
Ranger Rendezvous (West Coast Resistance)
Attention: We got a message from Major Beck that advises against a major resistance meeting in May.
We will heed Major Beck's words and schedule smaller meetings. We will be having resistance meetings in April in the SF Bay Area and in July (at Comic Con) in San Diego. Stay tuned to this spot for more details.
In the meantime, check out our contests: http://www.ranger-rendezvous.com/contests/contests.html
Operation Phoenix/Comic Book Update
February 26, 2010
Hello Fellow Rangers
This has been an exciting week as the Olympics draw to a close in Vancouver; I just wanted to mention what a great job all the athletes did. Canada is such a wonderful country and they hosted a memorable Winter Olympic Games.
I know everyone is excited about the news from Devils Due Publishing that Issue # 3 will be released on Wednesday, March 10, 2010.
We continue watch Epix and the latest is that Direct TV will be carrying Epix. We also have been following developments in the ARG game as well as other information that we have been looking at that something new and unexpected may take place in issue number 3.
Be on the look out for Issue 3 preview pages located as various Jericho Fan sites.
Wondercon is fast approaching, it is being held in San Francisco the weekend of April 2-4 which is Good Friday and Easter this year. Ratkeeper and several other Rangers will be hosting a fan table so any of you who are in the area will want to check it out.
I want to thank Lee from UHD for all his work on putting together the East Coast Ranger Gathering which is scheduled for June 11-13, 2010 in Boston, MA. It is shaping up to be a great event and we hope as many Rangers as possible can make it for the weekend.
